Getting started with YourBooks POS for Windows

Prepare your Windows computer, install YourBooks POS, start your 30-day trial and plan multiple tills, backups and EFRIS setup.

1. Prepare a Windows computer

Use Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with at least 4 GB of memory and about 1 GB of free disk space. You need internet access for activation, licence checks, updates and EFRIS. The installer includes the database.

2. Download and install

Get the current installer from our download page. On first launch the app sets up its local database, which can take a few minutes. Leave it open until setup finishes. You can try it for 30 days with no card or account.

3. Connect additional tills

Install the app on each till. One computer holds the shop’s data; enter that computer’s address on the other tills when prompted. The computers must be able to communicate over your shop’s network. Ask support for help with your network or firewall setup.

4. Arrange EFRIS and protect your data

If you need URA fiscal invoices, contact us to arrange the separate EFRIS setup before issuing them. Check your daily backups and keep a downloaded copy somewhere other than the computer running the till.

5. Choose a licence

When you have tested the software in your shop, compare monthly, yearly and one-off licences. Separate premises need their own installations; discuss multiple sites with support.
